A winch can only perform at its true strength when the electrical supply is powerful and stable. The winch power cable plays the most important role in delivering current from the battery to the winch motor. When the cable is weak, thin, low-grade or has resistance issues, the winch becomes slow, loses pulling strength, overheats and eventually risks complete failure during off-road recovery.
